Residential: Edwardian apartment
This high-ceilinged apartment needed some refurbishment to turn it into a comfortable home. The client’s brief was ‘to preserve the overall feeling of a bright, light and spacious apartment’.
We created a walk-in closet in the master bedroom and completely renovated the ensuite bathroom. By relocating existing wardrobes, we created a ‘quiet cosy TV room’ with recessed niches that accommodate DVDs and player. This TV room also doubles as a guest bedroom.
Part of the brief was to make the apartment quintessentially the client’s own, so we responded by selecting custom-made rugs and by finding some important vintage pieces. These included a 1960s glass coffee table, 1940s Italian bedside tables, bohemian crystal chandelier, and two 1960s works of art.
