Feature: Kellman Pyle

Shoe retailer, Kellman Pyle, had taken over the lease of a 2m x 2m shop in the upmarket shopping gallery inside the City’s Royal Exchange. They called in Lee Associates to create a prestige boutique with a distinct boudoir feel.

As the Royal Exchange is a Grade I listed building, the planning rules were very restrictive, but Lee Associates managed to maximise the available space by removing a mezzanine level at the rear. This revealed a 6m high ceiling from which they suspended a spectacular crystal chandelier.

All the shop fittings were custom made, as was the luxurious chaise longue. The result was an opulent, yet intimate, jewel of a shop that beautifully complemented the gorgeous shoes and bags on sale.
